In light of the current devastating effects of the ongoing rioting and looting in the Kwazulu-Natal and Gauteng provinces, we would like to assure you that our Emergency Response & Prevention Centre remains operational. While we will endeavour to assist in any way possible, in these critical areas certain public and private services are under severe strain and thus response times may be significantly affected.

We have prioritised our processes around these needs with a focus on critical life support and humanitarian support matters. Whilst we all hope for resolution soon, we have planned our ERPC operations for the next 14 days and will reassess and adapt to changes daily.

This situation requires emergency disaster management which will likely fall onto the local communities and neighbourhood watches to manage, and thus we suggest if able that you mobilize with your community for support and assistance in collaboration with local authorities and amongst each other.
