Dispatcher Files

We have seen a slight increase in the number of poaching cases during the national lockdown and it is clear that poachers are taking advantage as they believe that they will slip under the radar and not be spotted or confronted.

Thus far for the month of April, we have had nearly double the amount of cases compared to the previous two months. Our most recent incident took place in Botha’s Hill on the outer edge of Hillcrest, near Molweni. SAPS had been dispatched to the last known location of the poachers, and given information on their description and direction.

We ask all members to remain vigilant during the lockdown and to continue using your AAA Response App to report any illegal poaching activities in your area, so as to put a stop to these villains that are taking advantage of the current pandemic.

We in the AAA Response Control Centre remain functioning as per usual and are on high alert to deal with all situations that we are faced with, 24/7, all year round.

Stay safe and stay alert.
