I watched him go from walking man, to walking stick, to walker, to wheelchair, to death; and at the same time my childhood died.
I am self-made and self-taught. Along the way I taught myself bad lessons. Later in life, I was given mentors and I soaked up all the wisdom and gifts I could. Then one day I saw this, “True leaders don’t create more followers – they create more leaders,” and I learned that all fathers are leaders.
Thank you, Dads, for each of you gave me life to give back to my country, and I am the sum of all your incredible investments.
