CONTACT NUMBER REQUEST

Team, can you help me? I have a book called “My Journey to the Mountain” for delivery to a retired veteran, Col. Jack Haskins, KZN Search and Rescue. I am looking for a cell number.

We have worked on so many cases together and have come full circle into the most amazing outcomes. Helen Grosvenor wrote the book..

Col. Jack Haskins, supported by many role-players, one being the VCAT team, worked together behind the scenes in locating Dave Grosvenor and Alick Rennie, ‘Missing Plane Case’ in December 2013. Once located, many safety decisions, protecting the scene and the family, and more, were done under his leadership

As the years have ticked by, as life would have it, Helen Grosvenor and I crossed paths. I was totally stunned in a board meeting when I realised that I was sitting opposite Dave Grosvenor’s wife, the human being whose family I had had a part in helping. It was hard not to shed some tears as I carefully asked a few questions to confirm what my thumping heart was telling me. Life was unfolding and new chapters were about to emerge, and this is still happening.

Helen is part of the executive team who helps head up the Advanced CoDriver Assistance Centre where we are focusing on the 14,000+ lives that we lose to accidents each year on our roads. As a team we are determined to reduce the number of these tragic losses. Another part of this passion teamwork is that it is unfolding within the Tony Winter Project. I am amazed but should really not be because the most amazing things happen when harnessing hope from life’s tragic losses, matching this with personal inspiration and a shared dream for the future of everyone.

Our first goal is to get road deaths to below 10,000 per annum. Impossible? That’s what they say, but words fall on deaf ears when you have a dream for a greater South Africa…

I will keep you informed as to progress on the book distribution as this information becomes available, and also let you know how you can get a copy.

Let’s keep going together!
