The most important thing in the emergency service industry is the chain reaction to your reaction, it is key to have a quick response to any situation thrown your direction. One of the worst feelings must be one in which you are disturbed from your sleep by your barking dogs, alerting you that something is wrong and to hear noises in your house.

It’s important that when you hear noises in your house you quickly hide in a secure room and lock yourself up and quickly call for assistance. It’s a privilege to work with SAPS, CPF and Armed response members who have a quick response and are willing to help keep the community safe.

Early hours of the morning I received a panic activation from a lady who lived alone, she woke up to her dogs barking and heard a noise in the house, she quickly locked herself up in her room and requested assistance from us. SAPS and her security company were contacted to go out and assist her. When calling the member back in less than 5 minutes the security company had already arrived prior to SAPS and made sure the lady was safe and okay before checking the house and property for any intruders.

Lucky there was no one to be found on the lady’s property and all ended up being okay.

This is such a great relief as we never know how many intruders there might be and if they are harmed. Safety comes first.
